XFX nForce 750a SLI Product Review
Bjorn3D.com

We have already seen the NVIDIA 750a consumes less power than the AMD 790FX but the story gets even better when we enabled the Hybrid SLI. With Hybrid SLI set in the Power Saver mode, we are able to reduce power consumption of the system to 110W idle and 145W load. If we also turn on the Cool and Quiet, we can further reduce the system power usage to as low as 95W idle. This is 45W less than with the Hybrid SLI set in the performance mode (or 50W when we compare the system with Cool and Quiet enabled). The power saving is simply amazing.

I see this board can be a good choice for those who wish to use a PC for both HTPC and for gaming. The integrated GPU will serve the HTPC function and the discrete GPU can provide the needed power for gaming. With the ability to shut off the discrete graphic, users would be able to reduce the power loads and have near silent operation since they would have the ability to completely turn off the discrete GPU.
XFX nForce 790i Ultra: Fit Every Possible Expansion Option
TweakTown Must Have - Best Features

One thing is for sure, NVIDIA has done a fantastic job on its reference design. Not only have they managed to fit just about every possible expansion option into their boards, but 3-Way SLI is standard, it overclocks quite well and it supports the latest generation of CPUs.

XFX has gone for an extremely well rounded cable setup. For the mass storage controllers; out of the seven SATA ports the board is equipped with, six data cables are provided. A single IDE cable with two drive support and one FDD cable make up the data portion. For power adapters, there are three molex to 2-port SATA power cables, giving you a total of six drives supported out of the box. Great work XFX.

XFX nForce 790i Ultra: A Usual Top Product

if we take into account only functionality of the motherboard, without its supposedly excellent overclocking potential, we should admit that it's a usual top product, nothing more. A number of solutions (POST controller with a display, chipset cooling system) detach this reference motherboard on nForce 790i Ultra SLI from the usual products. General performance: Very good.

XFX nForce 790i Ultra 3-Way SLI Review
    [H]ARDOCP
The damn thing ran flawlessly for over four days with a 100% load on all its major system busses then did not blink an eye when I “cooked” it at 50C for another 15 hours. All the while exhibiting excellent stock component cooling. Our board turned in performance numbers right on par with Intel’s flagship X48 and X38 chipset motherboards. The 790i Ultra allowed problem free overclocking to extremes that most of us will never use with very little effort or tweaking needed. To top it all off, it is probably one of the best motherboard layouts I have ever used.

XFX 780i SLI - Surprise Performance
    PCPerspective
The overclocking performance of the 780i SLI chipset was a surprise - I actually expected it to be lower than that of the 680i chipset. That wasn't the case though as with both quad-core and dual-core processors the new NVIDIA chipset performed exceptionally well. I was able to hit an overclocked front-side bus of 512 MHz with my E6750 processor, just a few MHz behind our top overclock on an X38 motherboard.
XFX nForce 780i 3-Way SLI Review
    Boot Daily - Worthy Award
The XFX doesn’t have the slick utilities but the ones it does have are still functional. It runs cooler, offers good overclocking and is priced ultra-competitive. If it were my money, I’d go with the XFX board in a heartbeat. What should be a deal-break in this comparison is the fact that the XFX board is significantly cheaper than the ASUS, has better CPU support, great overclocking and stability and comes with XFX’s 2yr warranty.
XFX nForce 780i 3-Way SLI - New King of the Hill
    Legit Review
The aging NVIDIA 680i SLI motherboard finally loses it's flagship status as the latest and greatest SLI board on the market. The NVIDIA 780i SLI motherboard is the new king of the hill for those that want the ultimate in Intel/NVIDIA platforms.
